Aerial is not a dangerous skill to perform, though it’s an advanced skill. Rates for all classes are Pay-What-You-Like. If your child has a passion for aerial gymnastics, it is a good idea to enroll them in a gymnastics class such as Aerial Silks class where they can practice under the supervision of experienced professionals. Hair ties are recommended for those with longer hair. No jewelry or any decorations on clothing. We recommend leggings and a t-shirt that can be tucked in. Synthetic fabrics will be more slippery than cotton. Please wear simple cotton clothes that you can move around freely in. Registration is through Culpeper Parks & Recreation. We have an Adult & Me program through Culpeper Parks & Recreation for parents and kids ages 3-6 to bond over a new experience. Participants must be at least 7 years old. Yoga/Conditioning for Silks - This is a conditioning class where participants will work to develop greater strength and mobility. Anyone is welcome to join as long as they have previously taken an intro class. Open Silks - This is an open session where students can practice what they already know under the supervision of an instructor. Students must demonstrate proficiency in beginner silks before moving on to this class. Intermediate/Advanced Silks - This class will cover more complex moves, sequences, climbs, and drops. Introduction to Aerial Silks - This class is for anyone’s first time participating in silks at our studio.įoundations in Silks - This class is for those who have taken an intro class and are looking to continue their silks journey Students build strength and endurance as they learn longer and more complex sequences that have them wrapping and threading to create beautiful transitional poses and heart pounding drops. Suspend your body from flowing fabric and wrap and unwrap yourself in yards of silk as you defy gravity, use your core, and improve balance and fluidity of movement.
